Description: Torvosaurus is a deep-snouted megalosaurid that patrolled the same river-sculpted landscapes as Allosaurus. Its robust dentition and muscular neck delivered high-torque bites capable of disabling stegosaurs and young sauropods. Specimens from Portugal demonstrate a transatlantic disjunct typical of fragmentary Jurassic theropod records.
